Don't you just love it...

when you get nice things in your mailbox, or when people leave lovely comments on your blog? Well I do, and I really really enjoy it! Today I got this mini frame album through a swap I entered and I really *love* what I did to it, because I put pictures in it of my loves!! (ok and one of myself to fill the book up!) Well I just baked some lovely cookies in our new oven."Kattentongen" is what they are called (cat's tongue), sounds horrible I know but they taste sooooo fine and sweet!

New....

Hairdo!!!! Yesterday Nienke stopped by to give both Igor and I a new haircut. Finally as I haven't seen a hairdresser in ages. I promissed to put a picture here but taking selfportraits is not one of my best features. On this pic it looks like my hairdryer exploded but it's just the shadow of me on the wall. So look past that please!
I've been dreaming a lot last night. When I woke up this morning I could remember all 3 of them very vividly so I wrote them down and this afternoon I started to gave it a closer look and explain it, also by a dream dictionary. It is scary but beautiful to see how real those messages are, as dreams come in symbols most of the time. Loved doing that and got the message loud and clear, now I have something to work on this upcoming week!

This week was a week of gifts, lovely gifts but also neccesities. A new microwave oven as the old one died on me. A new scratching pole for our 4 cats, it looks like a palace to me! It is 1.94 meters high! I love it, as do the cats (lucky me otherwise it would have been a waste of money)
Today a lovely new book called Living out loud and I have been reading bits and parts already, I love it! Now it is 4 pm and time to season the chicken and put that baby into the oven!!! Have a great evening!!

Finally I....

got another LO finished. I haven't been doing much scrapbooking the last few days but I did finish one of Daisy. I love the pic of her snoozing on top of this great big pillow on our sofa. The other one is Duchess Daisy laying on my scrapbook table steeling my tape! She loves scrapbooking to, well at least the stuff I use, she loves to play with!

Love songs

Hi there,
A little while ago I started collecting songtexts of the song that are special to me, but I guess I lost my interest or forgot all about it or something. Anyway the lovely Elsie F. and Corinne D. inspired to pick it up again. I am making an album with LO's that have pieces of songs in them that tell a story.
This one is "Love songs" of Alison Moyet. But it's not really about the song, but more the subject. Igor and I couldn't see each other during the week, only on weekends and we wrote long love letters to each other (by email but hé...)I kept them all! I sometimes read them again and still get this warm feeling of it. Who would have thought that someone with such a rough and tough appearance could write those sweet and lovely letters?

Pretty blue eyes say everything, I don't need to spoil this LO with unnessesary journaling that's why I hid it behind those doors....

It seems like

every day I get one LO done, and I love it!!!
Here's what I did today: I cut some of the flowers so the picture could go under it, as well as the chipboard letters. I painted the letters and used UTEE on them. Painted some on the paper, the feathers of the partridge and stamped some cats feet and butterflies on it, wrote some text on it with a golden pen we usually use on christmas card! And besides this rather complicated LO (lot of work actually) I also cleaned my whole kitchen, really everything in and around it!

And again one finished!

This time it's an Elsie Challenge # 32 Play with photo proportions.
I made this LO with a huge photo of our garden which I really love. A true exibit of what an other angle can do to a photo! I kept it simple as I didn't want to make it a very busy LO as the photo is radient of rest and relaxation.
I hope you like it. There are more to come as the weather has turned really bad on us here in the Netherlands. No one can deny fall anymore!

Dolphins on my birthday

Well I finally was able to make a LO about our visit to the dolfinarium on my birthday on april 5th this year. Why did it take me that long? Well I couldn't find the right paper but I finally did! It is Basic Grey's Oh Baby!
Today I didn't scrapbook, I started making Christmascards! I finished 4 , 19 to go! I don't send a lot of Christmascards so 23 in total is still a lot for me!
Well anyway this is the LO I finished yesterday .

LO # 60 and 1 album done

Hi there, how's life?
Today I finished LO #60 and it was my 20th LO on 12x12 so my first album is done! I bought some refills so I can make another 20 LO's now, but don't think it will fit actually, so that's a nice excuse to buy a new album soon!
This is the LO I finished today. Saturday I got these great chipboard letters of Heidi Swap, I love them! What to do now? I guess I will start a new LO again, with brown Cherry Arte paper I also got in this saturday!
Got any nice LO ideas? Or subject ideas? Why? Well this sunday we didn't go to the forest as I hoped and I am almost out of pics! Can you imagine?

New photo's

I really need to take new pictures. I am almoste done! I only have a few photo's left to do and can't figure out what paper to use!
So I decided to take my camera and made some new pics of me, or at least I tried. Now I hope that Igor has some time left for me in his busy existance to go to the woods with me tomorrow morning for a nice walk and take some pics. (I am hoping that for several weeks now!)
My cats are sick and tired of that flash you see;) They are hiding as soon as I apear with the camera LOL!!

Anyway I am also waiting for a package to arrive from scrapfever with some nice stuff. I really hope it will arrive soon! Maybe it will give me some new inspiration. I can start a new mini-album on each of my cats but I don't have kittenpictures of Silver and Tim as they weren't with me as a kitten and Igor didn't take any pictures unfortunately.

Misty again

Hi there!
Yesterdayevening I started a LO on Misty again, I love this cat! He's just so photogenic! I enlarged a part of a picture, just the eyes and nose. I wanted to write a lot about him on that LO so I chose to do a hidden journal and this is my result. What do you think about this LO?

heart shaped mini-book

Yesterday I started a heart shaped mini book about Igor and I. I saw that idea in the magazine Scrapbook and decided to make one of my own. It looks great! It's not done yet because I need more pics of us together. Here's a peak!

Finished

What is finished? Our photoswap, it's all done. Hilde is on a Holiday to England now so I will send hers when she gets back, the other ones I mailed yesterday together with a nice homemade rak. I hope they like them.
I also got all of my photo's back and they turned out so well!! I love them, so thank you ladies a whole big lot!!!

new LO's

Hi there,
How are you all? The last few days I've been busy completing the lo's I made for the photoswap and they are all done! I will send them off today. I also enclosed a little RAK, handmade, not bought so girls watch your mailbox!
I also ordered some new stuff today at an online scrapstore. Some paper, chalks, chipboard and UTEE. I saw this great chipboard figures like flowers, paisleys and buttons and I just had to order them!! So I did!
Oh don't forget to go and see the new blog of Sheila. She just aired it!

Photoswap

hi there!!!
Today I finished the first photoswap I ever did! I got pictures from 3 different, funny, lovely woman. I finished the pics of one of them. I can't show it here just yet, as it will not be a surprise to her! But as soon as I mail them I will put them in my gallery! Now I can start for one of the other woman. I really like doing this!
Today I also went budget shopping and I bought this lovely 8x8 inch album for just € 3,00!! I also bought some lovely flowers made of strass stones(€1,29) and some fuchsia purple little metal flowers(€0,69). I love them!
